Increased scalability of analytical solutions
Gamlite provides PCA services at network and project level by
using state-of-the-art survey equipment that collects pavement
condition data at traffic speed. The pavement condition data
with high precision can be utilised for general condition
monitoring, pavement maintenance planning and/or pre- and
post-construction compliance with Road Authority.
As
a pavement specialist with 15 years experiences in the industry,
Gamlite has managed projects around the Southeast Asia region to
support both the government transportation authority: Malaysia
Highway Authority (LLM), JKR Malaysia, JKR Brunei, Land
Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore; and private entities:
road/highway concessionaires and maintenance
contractors.
As an extension of Asset Condition Assessment (e.g., PCA),
Gamlite can support infrastructure asset owners and operators
such as government agencies and private entities to manage their
assets throughout the asset lifecycle in condition monitoring,
identification of defects, enabling prioritisation of
maintenance work, and also provide a range of asset management
services such as:
○ Routine/Periodic inspection or
assessment for condition
monitoring and
defects identification
○ Optimisation of maintenance
activities based on scientific data
○ Life-Cycle Cost
analysis (LCCA)
Once an asset is in service, defects would develop overtime and the cost to repair and rate of deterioration may increase exponentially if left unattended. Gamlite can provide visual inspections services to help asset owner / operator to avoid these extra costs by detecting small defects before it deteriorates further. Our inspectors are trained to operate with a wide range of proper devices and apparatus, and safety procedures are strictly followed. Typically, the areas of concern will be marked up on site and recorded on a standard inspection form (or mobile application, if available in the project) during an inspection, then follow up with inspection reports that indicate the findings. Our team of experienced inspectors have managed projects for the following type of assets: Pavement, Road Furnitures, Bridge and Slope.
Gamlite can provide traffic & axle load survey services for
your project, whether it is for preliminary study at design
phase of upgrade for existing road or that of new road
alignment, for enforcement purposes, or for other analysis
needs. The data that can be collected typically includes:
○
Traffic volume counts based on vehicle classifications
○
Average gross vehicle weight (GVW)
○ Equivalent standard
axle load (ESAL)
○ Equivalent factor (E.F.)
Gamlite provide Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) which is
applicable to Bridges, Tall Buildings, Slopes, etc. Structural
assets, especially bridges, can be in poor condition or
potentially fail before reaching their design service life due
to lack of timely maintenance, excessive scouring, and from
triggering events such as impact loading, earthquakes, etc.
Deterioration due to age is also a great concern besides
catastrophic collapse.
As such, SHM is a process
that works in complementary to the conventional arm’s length
inspection whereby potential damage of the engineering structure
can be detected and monitored early by strategic placement of
remote sensing instruments on critical components of the
structures. The SHM system enables asset manager to remotely
monitor the static and dynamic behaviour of the structure.
LCCA is a process of evaluating the economic performance of an asset over its entire life which could help to balance principal investment with the long-term expenses of owning and operating the asset. LCCA can be utilized to explore trade-offs between low initial costs and long-term cost savings, in order to identify the most cost-effective maintenance and rehabilitation options of an asset while maintaining the asset in optimal condition throughout its whole-life cycle.
Gamlite provides Data and Decision Science services. Data
Scientists would extract insights from datasets by identifying
data patterns, correlation or causal relationship using
analysis, visualization, mathematic and statistics,
algorithms, and advanced computation techniques, whereby the
extracted insights could be further transformed into
actionable data-driven and data-oriented business decisions.
The services include: normative analysis, descriptive
research, prescriptive intervention, etc. Which could be
applied in various areas such as Medical decision making,
Legal decision making, Risk management, Marketing, or any
other Business decision making in general.
